Sam Qualiana was awarded the Indie Genre Spirit Award on Sunday at Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. Our film Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark also took the Outstanding Comedy Feature Award! Congrats to the cast and crew for a job well done!
Crazy Lane

Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark

Metroshia Productions has released the poster and trailer for Post Apocalyptic Commando Shark, the latest feature film from Western New York writer-director Sam Qualiana (Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast, The Legend of Six Fingers). The film, which stars Simeon Qualiana, Mick O'Keefe, Andrew Elias, Chris Cosgrave, John Karyus, Debbie Rochon, and the director himself, will have its world premiere at Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival on November 2nd 2018 at 9:00 pm.
In the post-apocalyptic future, the world is still at war. The newly instated Soviet Russian Army has invaded the United States with the assistance of an evil German scientist who has created an army of super human soldiers, half-man and half-shark. Qualiana shot the film in secret under the title P.A.C.S. in his spare time, while working in various capacities on other films.

It's been a loooooong time since we've put any updates on the site.
We've made a new Retro style poster for Snow Shark that we're pretty happy with.
Lake Effect is still in post production as we are shooting additional footage and working on the insanely huge amount of post visual FX. We hope to have more details and a new official trailer soon! Chris Cosgrave has been doing a great job making the movie come to life in post!
Sam Qualiana directed a short film about an alien that crash landed on Earth, for a class at NCCC. More details and pictures to come!
On top of all that, we also have another top secret project coming along the way that is going to be a blast for all you fans of our old work!

Bloody Earth Films releases THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS, which premiered at last year’s Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, on DVD and digital platforms June 24. Written and directed by Sam Qualiana, who previously explored strange upstate New York nature in SNOW SHARK, the movie follows a pair of documentary filmmakers investigating a series of killings of domestic animals, which leads them to run afoul of a creature from Native American legend called Yá-yahk osnúsha, or “Six Fingers.” SLIME CITY’s Gregory Lamberson produced, with Michael Raso serving as executive producer; Qualiana and Andrew Elias play the two leads, with horror veterans Debbie Rochon and Lynn Lowry co-starring. The DVD will supplement the movie with:

Well it looks like it's been a LONG time since I've updated you on what's going on. You'll be happy to know that THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS has been completed, screened and even recieved a distribution deal through POP Cinema's Camp Motion Picutres! Check out the awesome trailer currently on our HOME PAGE. Expect the movie to be released some time in spring of 2014!
We were lucky enough to have Debbie Rochon and Lynn Lowry play parts in the film. Andrew Elias and Myself (Sam Qualiana) star along with a great cast of new faces as well as some familiar from Snow Shark.
We have a new short film available to watch online titled MONGREL.
I'm trying out a new site to make cheap t-shirts from Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast. This page is set up like a crowd funding page. If we sell enough shirts then they will ship them to you at no cost to me.
It seems like a cool idea, and an easier risk free way for me to get shirts to people. So if this works within the next 21 days I'll very likely start one for The Legend of Six Fingers as well. Check it out here: http://www.tfund.com/SnowShark

New Campaign Launched for Metroshia's Next Feature!!

THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS is an independent, feature length horror film written and directed by Sam Qualiana (SNOW SHARK: ANCIENT SNOW BEAST) and produced by Gregory Lamberson (SLIME CITY, DRY BONES). The project will be shot in Royalton, New York, a rural area located outside Buffalo. THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS combines two subgenres into one: the Bigfoot movies of the 1970s, like THE LEGEND OF BOGEY CREEK and CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAKE, and the “found footage” movies which have been popular since THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Other found footage movies include CLOVERFIELD and the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY series. Debbie Rochon has already filmed three scenes for the film, and Qualiana and Lamberson have cast additional horror film icons to fill supporting roles. THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS will shoot over the course of this summer. A distributor is already interested in the project.
SNOW SHARK: ANCIENT SNOW BEAST, funded in part on IndieGoGo, was released on DVD in February by Alternative Cinema/POP Cinema Studios. Family Home Video acquired the film for rental in the US, and thousands of units were sold to Canada. While SNOW SHARK was a tongue in cheek creature feature, THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS will be a frightening nail biter. The style of found footage filmmaking – a cinema verite technique – will simplify shooting and, make editing easier, and create a more frightening atmosphere.

We've received word that REDBOX Canada will be picking up Snow Shark as well as WAL-MART in Canada! In the USA it will be available at Family Video, the few remaining Transworld imprints (Suncoast, Strawberry's), and it's live on all leading e-commerce outlets.
You can pre-order on Alternative Cinema's website as well as Amazon.com and many other sites. Snow Shark will be swimming on to DVD February 19th!
